Digital Graduate Program

SSAB is undergoing a double transformation – fossil-free and digitalization. SSAB is world’s first company that has started fossil-free steel deliveries and we are building the worlds first fossil-free steel mill in Luleå that will be up and running by 2028. Mastering the double transformation requires new skills and so SSAB is launching the Digital Graduate Program. Whether you have a background in computer science, business or economics, we have a future career for you in SSAB.

To meet these future needs, the competencies within our digital landscape are evolving rapidly. Our Digital Graduate Program is created to equip the next generation of SSAB professionals with the specialized skills that SSAB needs going forward. With a strong business focus, the program provides you with a comprehensive understanding of our industry and the unique challenges it faces.

You will gain hands-on experience with advanced digital technologies and data-driven solutions. And you get a once in a lifetime change to be part of designing the sustainable practices that is created to meet the demand of tomorrow’s fossil-free steel industry.

The program will last 12 months, starting in September 2025. The program consists of four modules, focusing on SSAB fundamentals, self-awareness, leadership and change management. During the program you will have a continous on-the-job training and knowledge and skill development, as well as rotation to learn other areas. You will have a manager, a mentor and regular experience sharing with your peers in the Digital Graduate Program.

Through exposure to real projects, strategic insights, and cross-functional collaboration during the program, you will develop a deep understanding for the SSAB business landscape and the critical role that our digital programs and initiatives plays within it.

There are several different roles to join and grow in: Technology Specialist, Key User, Financial Developer and Project Manager.

You will be assigned to a permanent position and mentoring will continue for two years after the program.
